A USEFUL STARTING POINT

Find the guide you need first

Choose the dossier that answers your next question. Background and the complete directory are just below.

UNDERSTAND BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Choose digital services with your data in mind

A useful tool solves a specific need. Claimed performance, full cost, privacy and support need separate checks.

AI: test before depending on it

Test a representative task with non-sensitive data. Check errors, sources and limits before automating. A convincing example does not establish reliability across every case. Keep human review for important decisions and anything sent or published outside your organisation.

Online procedures and caution

Reach public services through their institutional source rather than an unexpected message. Before uploading a document, check the destination, requested data and retention information. Do not share sign-in codes with someone offering help.

Knowing a detail does not authenticate a caller

When reading about a digital incident, distinguish the affected system, the data described in the notice and your own account. The DGFiP dossier compares dated statements and individual/business routes; it does not equate internal access with compromise of every public account space. For an urgent request, reach the service independently and keep useful evidence. School phones raise a different question: use also belongs to an educational framework and written regulations, not merely the device’s technical security. Keep these issues separate when choosing what to do next.
