Choose by airport, not by habit

CDG, Orly and Beauvais do not share the same distance, terminus or best transfer. From CDG, RER B reaches Gare du Nord in about 25 minutes and Châtelet in 40. From Orly, line 14 publishes 23 minutes to Gare de Lyon and 26 to Châtelet. Beauvais requires a road leg of at least 1h30 to La Villette depending on traffic.

02

The price that can actually be compared

The Paris Region ↔ Airports ticket costs €14 per adult in 2026 for RER B to CDG or line 14 to Orly. Official taxis have a per-vehicle fixed fare between Paris and CDG or Orly: €56 or €65 from CDG, €45 or €36 from Orly depending on the bank. A booking supplement may apply. FRA9 compares this known component, not a fictional door-to-door total.

03

Party, luggage and bank change the verdict

One person with cabin luggage usually benefits from rail. For three or four people, the fixed taxi fare divided across the party can become competitive, especially with large bags. The bank matters: Orly–Left Bank is fixed at €36, while CDG–Left Bank is €65. The tool explains its choice without presenting a score as live availability.

04

Budget routes need a second leg

Express bus 9517 links RoissyPôle with Saint-Denis-Pleyel for a Bus-Tram ticket, but its duration depends on the departure and traffic. The timetable dated 24 August 2026, checked on 18 October, does not support guaranteeing the old 30-minute figure: select the day, direction and departure in the official timetable. Buses 350 and 351 take roughly 60–90 minutes. These amounts may not cover the final connection. Beauvais Aérobus costs €17.90 online per adult one way, after which the address still has to be reached from La Villette.

05

Late arrival or engineering works

This guide does not guarantee operating hours. Line 14 usually operates around 05:30–00:30 and Orlyval 06:00–23:35, but works, incidents and the travel date take priority. For a late arrival, open live network status and directions before ruling out an official taxi.

06

Avoid outdated information

Orlybus ended permanently on 3 March 2025. Any article still recommending it is obsolete. Do not accept terminal touts either: use the official rank, check the bank of the address and keep the receipt. Beauvais has no comparable published Paris flat fare; ask for a quote rather than trusting an invented estimate.

07

From terminal to hotel

Add terminal walking, waiting, transfer and the last mile to every displayed time. At CDG, check the terminal and RER station; at Orly, follow signs for line 14 or Orlyval; at Beauvais, confirm the Aérobus departure linked to the flight. Reaching Châtelet or La Villette is not yet reaching the hotel.

08

Final check before paying

On the day, check RATP or Île-de-France Mobilités live status, then confirm price and departure point with the operator. Prices in this guide were verified on 5 September 2026. The tool invents no traffic, waiting time, taxi availability or ticket availability.

FRA9 · FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the fastest public transport from CDG to Paris?

RER B takes about 25 minutes to Gare du Nord and 40 to Châtelet. These are official approximate rail times; waiting and the final connection are extra.

Metro line 14 or taxi from Orly?

Is Beauvais Airport close to Paris?

No. The official A04 Aérobus takes from 1 hour 30 minutes depending on traffic and ends at La Villette; plan the onward Paris leg separately.

Does Orlybus still operate?

No. RATP ended Orlybus on 3 March 2025. Check line 14, Orlyval/RER B or official taxis rather than following older guides.

Are Paris airport taxi fares fixed?

Official taxi fares between Paris and CDG or Orly are fixed by bank. In 2026 they are €56/€65 for CDG and €45/€36 for Orly; a booking supplement may be extra.
