Parcoursup 2026: the procedure is closed

The 2026 procedure ended on Thursday 10 September at 23:59. No new choice or new offer can now be added within this campaign. If you accepted a place, follow the institution’s administrative-enrolment instructions and the messages in your account immediately. If you have no place, check whether you qualify for CAES support, which may continue until mid-October; this is not a general reopening. Wait for the official new calendar before planning a 2027 application.

02

Start with the degree, not the city

Bachelor, BUT, engineering, master’s, institution-specific and doctoral degrees do not share the same outcomes or application route. Compare exact curriculum, accreditation or degree status, actual teaching language, prerequisites, campus, internships and outcomes. An overall ranking cannot replace fit between your record and the target degree.

03

Five steps to build the plan

1. Choose the degree — level, subject, language and recognition 2. Check the application route — Parcoursup, DAP, Études en France, Mon Master or institution portal 3. Prepare the evidence — degrees, transcripts, translations, language and study plan 4. Calculate the budget — tuition, CVEC, housing, deposit, transport and living costs 5. Complete admission and visa — enrolment, finance, France-Visas and arrival

04

Find the correct application platform

France has no single admissions portal. First-year bachelor entry may use Parcoursup, DAP or Études en France; many national M1 programmes use Mon Master; L2, L3, schools, institution degrees and doctorates may use a local portal. Nationality, country of residence, prior qualification and programme determine the route. The official degree page is decisive.

05

International applicants and Türkiye

Applicants living in a country covered by Études en France follow that procedure when it applies; Türkiye is included. Études en France may sit alongside a national platform or institution application and does not automatically replace either. Check the Campus France office for the country of residence and then the programme page before paying or uploading documents.

06

Academic evidence and language

Prepare passport, degrees, full transcripts, compliant translations, CV, a targeted statement, language proof and references only when requested. B2 French is common, C1 may apply to writing-heavy programmes, and English-taught degrees may require IELTS or TOEFL. The named test, score and validity period on the programme page prevail.

07

2026-27 fees and the real cost

Do not confuse national tuition, differentiated non-EU fees, exemptions and private-school prices. For 2026-27, CVEC is €105 where applicable. Add housing, deposit, insurance, transport, food, equipment and visa costs, and ask the institution to confirm the amount due for your status.

08

Funding and financial evidence

A scholarship, family support, savings or combined sources may fund the plan when evidence is clear and consistent. For long-stay student-visa applications filed from 1 August 2026, France-Visas states a minimum of €877.50 per month. This regulatory floor is neither a visa guarantee nor a comfortable budget in every city.

09

Admission, enrolment and visa

An academic offer is not final enrolment and does not guarantee a visa. Meet acceptance, any deposit, CVEC, administrative registration and arrival deadlines; then prepare France-Visas, funding evidence, housing and insurance for your situation. After entry, validate a VLS-TS within the official deadline when required.

10

Housing, health and student work

Start early with CROUS, residences, the private market, Visale or a suitable guarantor, and never pay before the contract and identity are verifiable. Student health registration follows arrival and enrolment. Student status generally permits up to 964 work hours a year; this income should not be presented as guaranteed funding for the visa or degree.

11

Final submission checklist

Confirm the awarded degree, campus, language, platform, date and time zone, documents, fees, exemption policy, housing and visa route. Save submission receipts and screenshots, monitor the official portal and keep a realistic academic and financial alternative. Reject any intermediary promising guaranteed admission, scholarship or visa.
