Art Basel Paris returns to the Grand Palais from 23–25 October. Preview days and the vernissage have separate access arrangements.
Fair dates
The fair runs from 23–25 October. The 20 October Avant-Première is invitation-only; preview days are 21–22 October. A public vernissage on 22 October has its own entry conditions.
Plan your visit
For a first visit, choose a few galleries or one sector. Check your ticket category and Grand Palais time slot before adding a museum on the same day.

Make room in your itinerary
Make this outing the main appointment of your day. Avoid a train or flight arrival immediately beforehand: travel to the venue, luggage storage and admission all need time.
Plan the full budget
Compare the final ticket price with return transport and, if needed, an overnight stay. The categories, offers and availability shown at purchase take precedence over an old price found online.
Attending together
For a group visit, check that every ticket has the same date and compatible admission arrangements. Agree on a meeting point outside the queue, and make sure everyone can present their admission ticket.
Before booking: date, venue and admission
Before booking, match each plan to its date, venue and admission entitlement: the Grand Palais fair, vernissage, a conversation or a city installation. The overall calendar does not replace a session’s time slot or a partner building’s conditions. Save the address and ticket you actually selected; allow a gap between appointments and an alternative if a session is full. The announced programme may still change, so check the chosen event rather than assuming one admission covers everything.
Three sectors, three ways to look
The official list announces 211 galleries from 41 countries and regions. Galeries presents Modern and contemporary programmes; Emergence focuses on solo presentations of emerging artists; Premise highlights distinctive curatorial proposals, sometimes including pre-1900 work. Choose a question and a few booths across two sectors. These are presentation formats, not quality rankings or purchasing recommendations, and an exhibitor announcement does not guarantee that a particular work remains available.
The Public Program is not the whole fair
The official Public Program distributes projects across nine Paris venues, including locations around the Grand Palais and partner institutions. Choose a venue and work, then check its dates and admission. The word “public” does not establish unconditional access to every building, neighbouring exhibition or time slot. Walking to an installation and entering the Grand Palais fair remain different decisions; do not turn a city programme into a claim that the ticketed fair is free.
Conversations is a separate appointment
The 2026 dossier places Conversations in the Grand Palais Auditorium and describes panels as free and open to the public. Check the session, admission arrangements and capacity before making it the day’s fixed point. A free discussion is not admission to every fair sector. For a first visit, our recommendation is one conversation and selected booths rather than a chain of incompatible appointments or a promise to attend every announced speaker.
